Does that term (a slang insult, for anyone who is wondering) technically mean "a hat for an ass" or is it "a hat made of ass"?

    Curious minds want to know!

It's usually considered synonymous with SFB: Shit For Brains

I always kinda thought it meant people who had their heads so far up that they were wearing their own ass as a hat.
If that's the case, their head isn't up their ass. Otherwise it would be an ass-scarf or ass-belt, depending on the severity.

I think it's another case of bad word added to regular word to make insult. A large number of them are used here: douchenozzle, twatwaffle, asshat, fucknugget and so on.

Maybe it's a more adult way to say "butthead"? Also it sounds meaner (BTW butthead doesn't make much sense either now that I think about it...hmm...)

I told Mr. Rum that he was an "asshat" and that he didn't "win any internetz" because he didn't understand what an intrawebz was.

              Yeah ... I'm weird.

Has anybody else noticed the (almost) rhyming nature of most of the afore-mentioned insults? OK, so douchenozzle doesn't rhyme, but the others do have the same vowel sounds.
