My hair's finally long enough to do some pretty snazzy pony tails and semi-fancy up do's. Granted, they'd be very semi-casual up do's as I still have layers in there that are too short but I can now start changing up the coiffure I'm used to so I'm not always having the either 'loose, pony tail, ponytail to the side or half-up pony tail' selection.

chopsticks! yaaaay chopsticks! i had long hair for the longest time and i almost always had it up in chopsticks.
then i chopped my hair off to my chin. and now i'm growing it back out cuz i miss the chopsticks

When my hair was chin short, I'd take the longest layers and give myself quasy half-up-half-down looks with chopsticks. I like the chopsticks too, Fairy. Unfortunately, the ones I have *now* are eating chopsticks and my husband ges pissy if I'm using them on my hair... doesn't matter how often I tell him I carry them this way so I have them to eat when I get hungry. lol

I've just been using a lot of bobby pins lately.

Thank you Amina. Its been so hard to get it this long at long last; its taken me a year but its difficult to *NOT* get it chopped when I go for trims. I get frustrated easily.

And yes, Khel, I'll post pictures as soon as my camera's battery is charged. I tried taking pictures last night but the camera decidd to go on strike. lol.

Yay for you! The growing-out phase seems soooo long. I finally grew out my bangs and now I want to cut them because of pictures I've seen. My overall length is now long enough that I can make a knot out of it with no hairpins. Comes in handy.

I can never think of anything to do with my hair. I never get any fancier than clippies, ponytails, or barettes. My hair's about shoulder length right now, which is about where I want it. But I need to get it trimmed....SPLIT END CITY!

I just got my hair cut a couple weeks ago...it's long enough to put up (I never cut it shorter than my shoulders) but she layered it a bit and the pieces around my face are right about to my cheekbones...which I asked for...and it's driving me nuts and I wish they'd grow out again...

I couldn't take wonderful pictures because I forgot to charge the battery, so here goes. You can also tell that the black dye totally faded and the henna's still there. It turned a deep brownish red now.

btw, the left is known as 'the gibson tuck' and is the full up-do-version of 'The Victorian 3 braid'...which I did on accident the first time (right picture) and realized my hair was too short to braid and tuck back in.

I want to find a good comb to purchase and stuck in the middle of the tuck.
