So it was birthday on Friday.

My presents included 5 books:
What if Our World is Their Heaven? (Phillip K Dick)
Men Who Stare At Goats
Outlaw
In The Woods
Up Till Now (William Shatner)

I also got given three more, that may brother and dad had read and thought I would like:
Devil May Care (James Bond)
Friends Like These
Mr Paradise

Then we went to London to do some shopping, and I bought:
Churchill's Wizard
World War II
World War Z
Drood
Queen Victoria, Demon Hunter

And finally, from my mum and dad, in lieu of a stick of rock from their last seaside holiday:
Dracula: the Undead.

So a couple of memoirs, two history books and 10 novels, A pretty good haul!

Drood is pretty decent, I didn't like it as well as Simmons' previous novel The Terror, but it was still very interesting (I am ashamed to admit that I thought Wilkie Collins was a woman up until just a few years ago...).

World War Z, of course, is pure (living)dead brilliant.
