I met this guy, we'll call him E, online about 8 months ago. He was living in Israel at the time and was looking for penpals in NY since he was already planning to move here. We got along pretty well and ended up meeting up about a month ago when he'd moved.
...and then much to my surprise we clicked as more than just friends.
He's about two hours away via public transit right now but we've been getting together a couple times a week since he works near me. Then I fractured my ankle (again! auuuugh). He came over yesterday saying he just wanted to cheer me up – and surprised me by bringing me groceries and cooking for me. When you're stuck hobbling around on crutches and haven't been given anything stronger than tylenol, having someone do that is just amazingly thoughtful.
It was just what I needed!
On the plus side, since I'm stuck at home right now, I have plenty of time to work on all of these Christmas cards for you guys.
