  • Baby is here. :)

My fourth (and final!) son was born November 17, 2009... Colton James was born at 1:51pm, 8lbs11oz, 21" long. He has a full head of hair, no wonder I had such bad heartburn!

Just thought I'd share. We'll be heading home from the hospital today, as long as my blood pressure stays down.

    Aawwww! Baby pictures!

    I love babies.

Child Rum had a head full of hair too. And I too had the worst heartburn ever!

    He's a cutie!

Awww how adorable. I have 3 boys myself. He is absolutely beautiful. Congratulations. I hope your blood pressure stays down for you to go home. Have you always had trouble with your BP or is it because of the pregnancy?

          What a cutie! Congrats!

Awesome name, btw. Sounds like a cowboy name.

He definitely has a bright future as a cowboy.

Do all hospitals use the exact same kind of hats for newborns? Every pic I have ever seen of newborns, they have the same hat. There must be a company that supplies every hospital in the U.S. with those hats.

I've noticed that a lot of hospitals use the same type of hat for newborns too. The hospital I had my first 2 sons at not only had the standard hats, but also the knitted hats too. These tiny hats were hand-knitted by volunteers. They were so cute and had the little pom-pom on top.

Thanks everyone. We're home now, and things are going alright. My 17 month old keeps "patting" the baby on the head and trying to climb in my lap. Poor guy has no idea whats going on. He'll be ok in a few days I'm sure.

I'm laughing at the cowboy comments... I said that to my husband last night. With the other 3, I kind of cornered myself into C names (I have Connor, Cody and Casey) and couldn't think of another C name for a boy...we didn't know what this one was until he was born. My uncle Jim died last month, so I knew I wanted to use James for the middle name. I kind of sat up in bed a few nights ago and decided I liked Colton for the first name. No idea where I heard it, but it fits.

It was fine the whole pregnancy up until I was admitted monday night. It was just a little higher than normal, but my potassium was low so they kept me and induced the next morning since I was 39 weeks. I was swollen so I think the water retention had something to do with it.
