Snowshoeing

Any one into snow shoeing? I went hiking yesterday, and the topic of snow shoeing came up....the guy we hiked with wants to take us snow shoeing (and teach us rock climbing!)

Looking forward to this, definitely a small step into getting into some real winter hiking/climbing.....I'll rent shoes first, and be on the look out for great deals if I choose to buy.

Ugh.....my wish list keeps growing.....this is not good!

Getting the snowshoes is easy. Walking in them is the tough part. Everything you were ever taught about how to walk properly goes right out the window.

Best advice I can offer? Until you get the hang of it, wear snow repellent gear, and expect to fall. A lot.
