Anyone else see Canada's Worst Driver 5 today? (spoiler)

Any of the people here watching Canada's Worst Driver 5?

Tonight's episode especially strong... Normally, the show has a kind of light-hearted tone to it, but tonight's episode ended with a down note when...

... one of the bad drivers learns that his/her brother-in-law was killed that day when his motorcycle was hit by a driver who failed to yield.

Right before he/she gets the phone call, he/she's laughing because he/she just failed a challenge wherein he/she runs over a figure with his/her best friend's face on it. He/she was even joking that he/she wanted to keep the head.

Then the show did a little recap of the bad driver's similar behavior (running red lights, not stopping at stop signs, cutting people off, etc.) and the bad drivers realizing what's at stake.

Damn good show, this is. After watching it, I find myself making adjustments in my driving behavior, paying more attention to the road and the other drivers, etc.

I wasn't able to watch tonight's show, but I try to watch it as often as I can. (I also read the spoiler)

Everytime I watch the show, I end up getting ridiculously pissed off at Angelina (the blonde dimwit from Sudbury) over pretty much everything she does--like the time she started crying when she had to set her coffee down because she was completeing a reversing challenge!

Yeah, I have a feeling that Angelina will 'win' the show this year, but Arun is a very close second. Angelina has a stunning capacity not to learn, while Arun has shown an amazing ability to forget.

The one that really pissed me off on the show was Crystal, because she really didn't seem to be taking anything on the show seriously. The others started to pick up on how bad they are but she never got it.

I caught the late show that played, so I watched what was under the spoiler.

I'm honestly not sure who is the worst. I think the editing makes Angelina look worse (and I know I sure couldn't stand to be in a car with her) but if the "prize" was given to Arun, I wouldn't argue with that. Mike Butt would be a distant third.

For what it's worth, I think Father Gilles will go next, then Jakob.

Nope. I don't want to say who it was though, to avoid ruining the spoiler.

I will say my favorite moment of the night was after Angelina's car was disabled for the night-driving challenge. She was getting a ride in the tow truck that was towing her car back, and she was bitching about the challenge, the car and the show. At the end of the clip, she asked out loud, "Who drives at night?!? It's stupid!" and the tow truck driver gives her a WTF?! look and raises his hand.

Angelina also called her boyfriend for help because the headlights wouldn't work (and the insurance was expired)... He's working in Indonesia...

I'm not sure that it's the show's editing that is making Angelina look bad. On several of the earlier episodes, Andrew has said (paraphrase) "she is not some actor we hired for this... she is for real." I don't think that anyone could be that (apparently) bratterscained intentionally.

She sounds an awful like some of the 'stupid SC's that we read about here, doesn't she?

Angelina astounds me. She's so beyond help the show has to keep reminding you she's a real person and not an actor. ><

I'm finding it very scary that they keep finding these horrible drivers in my province, and in some cases, close to home!

No wonder I hate being on the road. I don't drive, myself, but as a passenger, I certainly get to see a lot of stupid going on...

On the other hand - the show is funny as hell!

Except the ending on this last one.

Not that I can think of, but there have been a depressing number of Alberta drivers--including last season's "winner". -_-

father Giles, from Richmond, ONT.....thats my hometown Canada's Worst Driver is actually one of my fav shows, but I also watch it online as we opted out of cable. So i'll have to wait and see it once it's posted......checking now.

I can't find where the hometowns of the 'contestants' from Season 1, but after reading through all of the others I can't find anyone from Nova Scotia. This season's Jacob is from PEI and Melissa is from New Brunswick, and that's as close as I can find.
