Man, it's 14 degrees Fahrenheit here in Redmond. It snowed while I was at my friend's house in Federal Way on Sunday. Too. Damn. Cold.

My first floor is freezing, the upstairs is toasty (yah, physics)

Much rather have the bedroom be cold (many blankets and a cuddly cat warms one up) and the downstair be warm. Might have to crank the heat to over 60

A door at the top of the stairs will go a long way to stopping that. Or, more quickly, hanging a blanket or something there.
Now the trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed.

On the way to work in Silverdale, one bank said it was 20 and one dealership said it was 17. I believe it is too bloody fracking cold.

I hate this cold. It's been virtually non-stop snow for the last few days here in Colo. Springs, I can't get to work cuz I own a lighter than air car, the roads are a nightmare and I know I'm gonna get written up for absences. To top it all off, I have the stomach flu my son so thoughtfully brought home from school.

On a happy note, the snow makes the mountains pretty.
