  • Only six more months!

I just have to be able to make it six more months at my store until I can finally quit!

I'm going to be going to North Georgia College and State Univeristy after transferring with my AA from the community college in my town. I'll be joining the Corps of Cadets and have a scholarship that'll pay the room and board, while the Pell Grant will pay for the tuition.

I'm really excited because as a cadet out of state residents get a waiver to pay the in state tuition.

I'm so glad I finally have a plan in my life because I was just kind of wandering around, not really knowing what I was going to do with school.

And I finally get to leave my town.

I'll be going into the Army as an Officer and will be guaranteed a paycheck and a job within the Army

Not to mention I'll be getting paid(not a huge amount, but still something) to go to school with the scholarship. I won't have to work in retail and I'll have time to fully concentrate on my school and not worry about having to go to work and not having time to do everything I need.

I just have to make it through the Spring semester, and a month or two of a summer class, then I can finally quit

Then once I'm done in the summer I'll go to LTC(Leader's Training Coruse) which is at Fort Knox, KY to make up for missing military science classes everyone else took their first two years if college. From the looks of it, it's a less intense and shorter version of Basic Training. There's still Drill Sargents. The videos I've watched kind of make it look like a summer camp.
