  • First ever college finals

Yay! So I made it through first semester and I'm returning to school in Jan. That means finals! Yaayyyy!!!...not really.

So I am asking for good vibes. I have worked really hard so far and I am kinda nervous about taking these.

Not only should good vibes be sent to me, but to my fellow college people here as they work their tails off to do well on their finals.

I just finished finals myself, both finishing my Associates degree and starting my Bachelor's.

First off, Cisco exams are evil. I just wanted to get 85%...and got 88.5, ( ) and I aced my Security exam.

Don't be nervous, just take your time with the exams. You know that you've put in the work, so you'll do well. That's how I got through mine all these semesters.

I hope that you have the same (or even better!) success.

      Monday - 1 Test, 1 Final
Tuesday - 1 Final Paper Due
      Wednesday - 1 Final
      Thursday - 1 Final
Friday - 1 Final, 2 Papers Due given to use at Thursday's final

And I took two finals last week. It's going to be a good time. Yay college.

One of the very few good things about grad school is that we typically don't have final exams - usually a final paper or project due the week before finals. (The idea is that those of us who are TA's need to spend finals week grading.) So, that's what I'll be doing. (Of course, last week I had a paper, a journal, and before that other papers, a performance project, the show, etc.)

Best of luck to you! Most important thing is to not stress out too much. Sleep, study, and relax. Don't walk into an exam in panic mode. Bring extra pens/pencils. If they make you use a pen, bring some white-out. Do you need blue books? Take lots of study breaks.

You'll do great. Just remember to do your studying ahead of time so you don't end up having to cram at the last minute.

I don't need blue books. As for extra utensils, I have a pencil bag filled with all of that. I know it sounds elementary school-ish, but it really works for me. As do note cards. I never had to study before this school year, so when I found out about using note cards, I was so happy. I <3 note cards!

                Good luck to everyone else!

I've found myself repeating those words. I regret it. It would have helped to develop study habits earlier.

Good luck though. College finals can be such a treat.

Ah finals. Welcome to college, McGoddess!

I'm in the home stretch of finals myself. One left to go on Wednesday.

Good luck to you, and all my other fellow college goers suffering through the same fate!

Hey, if anyone can send me some good vibes for this merchant of Venice paper I have to do...

As for me, I have 2 finals to do, the other 2 are just papers or presentations.

Oh yea, Greenday's advice from trial and error:

Do NOT stay up the entire night before a final, killing a case of beer by yourself, falling asleep at 5:30am, waking up at 7:30am still drunk, then take a final at 8am...still drunk. While I tied my highest test grade in that class with the final while drunk, I might have done better if not drunk and pulled off a C- instead of a D+.
