Well, fuck. Nothing actually bad. And I'm trying to remember that. Still sucks.
Follow up appointment was had today. Everything is looking good. Healing is all done, hearing loss did occur, but extremely slightly (basically, I'm only marginally any worse than I was before the surgery). Follow up in six months.
Oh, and we're going to need to schedule the "second look" procedure for sometime in January. I get to go back for general anesthesia. Yay me.
I have to remember: I'm in good health. I can still hear. I have a job. I have a home.
It's hard to remember the good, though, when I hear I get to go back for a surgery where the drive home was exceedingly painful (I had no idea the roads in NJ are so damned bumpy!).
