Fellin a tad guilty

So, I have to go to a wake tonight. I have no idea who this relative is (was). When my mother called me last night, she assumed I knew.

I really don't know half my relatives....I saw most of 'em when I was young, though I can't recall actually being told who they were. Since I don't live at home, I never heard family stories (everyone assumes I just *know* all, ha) Feel bad for not knowig everyone.

I have family I've never met (first cousins, even - my dad's brother's kids from his first marriage. I met his two sons for the first time at my grandmother's funeral, when I was 25; I've still never met his two daughters).

Sucky time for a funeral. I'm going to a memorial service next Tuesday for my friend's dad (he died last Tuesday).

I've met him before, just didnt remember him....he was one of my mom's uncles (her side is huge!!!)

Yeah real shitty time for this....sorry for your friend dad
