  • Is this really sad?

A friend of mine from school got me addicted to the show Supernatural. In about three months, we watched the four seasons that are out on dvd. I came to really like this show.

For Christmas, I got all four seasons from various people. So, I decided to share the amazingness that is the show with my sister. I received Season 1 on Christmas Eve and we began watching the show starting with Season 1 that very day.

It is now the second of January and we are on the fourth episode of the first disc of Season 4.

Keep in mind, I have been going to work, having a social life, keeping the house clean, and all the other stuff.

Is that sad that we went through three seasons like nothing?

If that is sad then it is really sad that I watched several seasons' worth of Stargate SG-1 (including the ending movies) in a vacation week.

Also, when I started my current position I had a lot of downtime so I watched the entire Star Trek Voyager series in a little over a month.

Oh, I do that all the time. I figure, as long as it's not making me change social plans or interfere with work, it's not a big deal.

*goes back to watching the two seasons of Big Bang Theory that I got for Christmas*

I would probably do that, and in fact, I have in the past. Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy season sets like I'd want to, so I have to settle for waiting on the NetFlix turnaround.

I'm starting Season 4 of Supernatural the next week or two. I tend to spread them out with other shows, so I don't get overwhelmed by one story.

Edit: I was going to mention that when I was buying seasons of Stargate SG1, I was going through a season in a day or two, and then having to wait until I could pick up the next one...

Ex and I used to watch 24 that way. He didn't have cable so we didn't watch it until it came out on DVD.

Though after we broke up I found I wasn't as interested in the show when I didn't have anyone to watch with.

The husband and I watch those things rabidly. We watch piles of them at a time. We stay up way too late watching this show.

And the best part is that the thing gets better with each passing season.

So, ladies (and guys that are into guys)...Sam or Dean?

(RK is a huge Sammy fan. )

I am currently doing that with True Blood. Thanks to Netflix, I have gone through 12 episodes in a week or so.

Currently on episode four of disc two with pretty much no intention of going to bed yet.

RK, I love them both. Sammy is cute, but Dean is hot.

The day it came out on DVD, I bought Season 6 of NCIS and never watched it! So, I'll probably have a mini-marathon after I get back to KS.

If I have a day of cooking/housecleaning I can go through several seasons of a favorite show.

My niece and I did that with Doctor Who.. we watched about 3 episodes a day on Netflix streaming.. so we watched all 4 seasons of New Who in a matter of weeks. And then we started on Torchwood..

                            Heh not at all

For some reason or other I've only just "discovered" CSI & have watched most of the first 8 seasons of Vegas in the last couple of months.

I also get put off by over hyped shows when they first come out & prefer to wait until all the hype has died down so I still haven't seen any 24! Hoping to rectify that soon when I can next visit my friends who have the complete DVD set
                            Arp happens!

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.
