Seems half my friends are excited about me gong to school, and my sister isnt happy at all because shes convience it a scam money schhool.
The only thing to keep in mind is that a lot of these votech schools arent able to transfer credits to other colleges. Besides that you should be ok. Pharm tech is a good job (imo) and and that certification should be good to get a job in several places. Good Luck.

Did you research the school? Have you covered your butt? If it is a bonafide PT school, show your sister the research and proof of it. If it isn't....get your damn money back and find one that is!

Google the name of the school and the word 'scam' - then research. It's a basic security precaution, but check out the results.

I did.
It doesn't look good, Plaid. While not a 'scam,' per se, doesn't look accredited and please be aware that your credits will not transfer to any community college or university.

Anyway, it was my first day today. It wasn't even a fraction as hard as I really thought it was. I was really scared to go. Not to mention my boss was late. Again. Even though he knew. I had an hour and half to get basically, 140 Plus blocks, on three buses. I made it with 15 minutes to spare. But that was to close for my comfort, especally since if I miss my first bus, which came 3 minutes after I left work, I'm fuck. There just no way i can walk the distance to meet the second bus, and waiting for the second bus on the first route will take even longer. So yeah...
Anyway, as for the classes. They are smaller, but the teachers are all pretty cool. I've taken to the first two pretty well. Medical Terminology reminds me alot of my English class from my first year in collage all those years ago, so I've gotten roots pretty well as it was. I make it a habit of using the words in other ways, with diffenations to all remember. For example, (and this is Combining forms... basically um. Well.. Word roots that start before another word root. They typically end with an O to help prounounce the word, assuming the two word roots don't both end/start with vowels. GAH! EXAMPLES!
Leuk = White. Leuk is just an mismatch of words of Luke. Aka Luke Skywalker, who wore white in the first movie, and could be considered of the Good, aka White, of the Force.
Cyan = Blue. Yeah, easy one there -_-.
Erythr= Erythnul was the god of slaughter, slaughter has blood, so Erythr means red.
Dys= Kinda like Dis, so thats bad. Or poor. Or Difficult.
Dist= Away from point of origin. So, you know, distance.
Hypo = Means less then normal. Hypno was always the lesser of Kadabra from Pokemon. (Stupid way, but hey, it helps.
Ayway, there is alot more then that, but you get the idea. It just easier for me.
The second teacher is pretty um. Upbeat. Like seriously happy. He doesn't use the word Fun. He uses the word Phun. He is a firm beliver that if your happy at your work, you be happy everywhere. Don't say you got to go to class, or got to go to work, you GET to go to work, and GET to go to class. I admire his optismim, though I likely couldn't be that good. I did get a /golden star/ because I helped past out all the handouts, even to the ones who went to the bathroom, simply because I remembered her sitting there.
The third one, is alot more firmer, and he is going to be my teacher for Tips of succes. Better studying, and job skills etc. He taught once at the infamoous school from Dangerous Minds. He has traveled alot. He totally more hardass then the other teachers, but I do respect him alot more it seems. He doesn't piddle around, nor allow the students do.

Thats why I said what i did up above. These are not traditional colleges, these are basically advanced on the job training classes that allow you to only do what youre specifically being trained for (medical assistant, medical billing/coding, massage therapy, pharm tech and more.) This is true of most vocational techy jobs/schools that are out there. I went to one for my first job (surgical technologist) and could do only that once I graduated. When I wanted to go back to school, I went to the registrar knowing full well nothing would transfer over, and in that I wasnt disappointed. Lol.
As long as the school gets you state certified, you shouldn't have any problems. I wouldn't suggest a for-profit school for a degree, but for a program designed to get you a specific certificate and nothing more, no problem.

Three word suggestion: Get. A. Bike.
I realize there are drawbacks to a bike. But in most major cities, buses have bike racks. Which means you can still use the busses, but if you miss one for any reason, you have your bike to fall back on. Also, depending on your current three-bus route, you could conceivably use your bike for part or all of the route. Plus, as I recall, Seattle doesn't usually get too much snow, so while it could be rather cold this time of year, it is still workable. And of course in not that long a time, it will be warmer anyways.

Thanks for the idea bro, and I would. But I haven't saved the money for it yet, nor have I gotten the stamina or strength of will to withstand the intenst pain in my hip for walking, let alone biking yet. I haven't learned how to juggle my duffle bag with about thirty pounds of books on it ether. But I'll look into what I can do.
A bike is generally easier on hurting joints that running or even walking. Don't know about hips, but it is something to consider.
And bikes can be fitted with baskets, carriers, etc. I have seen some that have rear basket type things that would easily hold said duffel, and having it on the back makes balancing easier since the weight is not swinging with the turning of the handlebar/front wheel assembly. Still takes some getting used to with that much weight, but it's not that tough.
As for the money aspect, you can often get a good deal on used bikes from either bike stores or in the paper. Often decent bikes for very cheap.
Whatever you do, don't go to K-Mart or a store like that for your bike. For the exact same money you would spend on one of their pieces of shit new, you can get a far superior used bike somewhere else.

I dont know about the continual circular rotation on an already injured/damaged joint. While a good idea, please check with your doctor before commiting to it.
My doctor will be out of his office for another week. I'll talk to him then.
On the other side of things. I got my ..
I GOT MY FIRST A!!! Every question right on that test. It was a small test yes. It was minor yes. It was easy yes. It was a beginning test and I know that medical terminolgy will get harder. But I never ever ever ever gotten an A before. I've always missed several questions and gotten Cs, Ds, and Fs.
