Hey, here's a question: have you ever even been to St. Pete?

If you haven't, when you drive down, make sure your root takes you through Tampa so that you can cross the Sunshine Skyway bridge. Easily the most beautiful bridge I have ever driven across, and one of the best views from a bridge (though for views, the Seven Mile Bridge in the Keys takes it).

Nope, the closest i've been to going to florida was passing through on a bus.... So I'll make sure to check that out... But I am acrophobic and HATE HATE HATE driving over bridges.

If you hate driving over bridges, then just check out the Sunshine Skyway from a distance....though I'm pretty sure that if you're living in the St. Pete/Tampa area, you are going to have to drive over bridges....often.

And a warning: if you ever decide to come down to Key West, remember that from the mainland to Key West, there are something like 41 bridges you have to drive over, ranging from very short ones to of course the Seven Mile Bridge.

I have resigned myself to the need to drive over bridges. One day I'm sure I'll get used to it, but that doesn't mean I have to like it...

By the way, since I mentioned it, thought I'd show you the Sunshine Skyway Bridge that shortly will be in part of your neighborhood:

Thank you Jester. My stomach just did a flip flop at the sight of the bridge! My hubs would have to drive it and I'd be in the backseat, cringing.

If I had to drive it myself, I'd white-knuckle it all the from beginning to end.

I don't like driving over bridges, but that's because I want to look over and take it all in, and not have to actually pay attention to where I'm driving. I had to cross the Missouri River on my way back to KS, and it was all frozen over and stuff. Looked sooo pretty, and the Missouri is not a pretty river.

Hey, you don't have to drive. You can always fly (there are direct flights from Tampa to Key West), or take the ferry from Ft. Myers.

Just another quick update. Had a semi-phone interview with a temp agency down in FL today. The lady's gonna put my resume through to a company she thinks I'll be a good fit at, a long term contract, 30 hours a week, $13/$14 (not sure which) an hour, three 10 hour shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Not the BEST days in the world, but hey, it's only THREE days a week... That's pretty freaking sweet
