This is related to the Dead Pool only in the sense that he was a celebrity, but no one had him on their list.
Which to me is a good thing, because while I am often cynical and jaded, this is one death I would like to think no one would celebrate. One of my favorite actors.
"It takes more than going down to your local video store and renting Easy Rider to become a rebel." --Dennis Hopper as Huey Walker in "Flashback."

Fred Phelps-the scoutmaster of the Westboro Baptist Church.
That's on my list. Also, Spiffy, I doubt he's dead.
Jester, quick and possibly dumb question: do they all have to be American? I've got ONE Australian in my list.

Jester, quick and possibly dumb question: do they all have to be American?
There are no dumb questions. Only dumb people.
Okay, I lie. Dealing with tourists so often, I know that there ARE in fact dumb questions.
In any case, no, they do not all have to be Americans. If I have not heard of them, though, I just have to be able to verify that they do have some amount of celebrity status. If I can't find them or a reference to them and their status online, I would disallow them.
But of course not all celebrities are American, nor are all celebrities, American or otherwise, celebrities IN America. But as I myself AM an American, those are, of course, the easier ones for me to identify.
Note: For those of you jumping in late, please note the rule that you can't pick celebrities who have already died. It is not who died in 2010, but who died in 2010 after you made your list. I would like to think that that is common sense, but over the years I have discovered that common sense is hardly common.
