  • 'Spam' as an expletive

I have noticed a most peculiar thing about me lately.

When I'm frustrated, instead of the usual 4-letter word expletives, sometimes I find myself blurting out "SPAM" in anger. Even if whatever's annoying me has nothing to do with unsolicited email, or bad canned food. Did I just invent a new swear word?

yes...yes you have. I used to use my favorite all time cuss word even on the phone with customers...and NEVER got in trouble.

    the word? Tak

No clue if the word has any meaning, but for me, its just a general expletive. and said quietly enough, it can't even be mistaken for other 4 letter words ^^
It is by snark alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of the coffee bean that thoughts acquire 'tude, the lips acquire mouthiness, the glares become a warning.

I love using "SNAP" instead of other not-so-pleasant words like "shit" and "crap", including the mutated "crapola".

And I can say it on the job without getting anyone mad.

When I was little I used to yell 'pencil' whenever I was mad. My dad still says it to tease me. XD

I just say "Oh, for the love of peanut butter!" whenever I'm exasperated or want to start cussing. I have a little 6-year-old parrot. And it's embarrassing when I take her to NanaRum's house and she starts cursing up a storm.

              "Oh Bob Saget!"

I have found myself just shouting random gibberish and nonsense words when I'm fed up with something. I have this theory that when you're REALLY pissed off, you can't think straight and find yourself shouting anything that comes to mind. It's what makes people do crazy things when they are pissed off.

I find I censor myself at work... even when I'm with friends. I find that people tune you out if you use regular profanity, but they'll stop and listen if they hear something else.

                    1) Smurf. Can be used for any situation. Picked it up at another forum that had an auto-filter for curse words.

                    2) Intercourse. Used in place of the 'f' word. Great in sentences... "The power supply on my computer is intercoursed."

                    3) Vek. Just a word I made up that sounds like a curse.

                        "Oh, cookie crumbs!"

No, not me, but a friend of mine actually uses that as an expletive.

                        I rather find it endearing.
“Excuse me. Is this bracelet real jade?”
“Ma’am, this is a thrift shop. The tag on the bracelet says $1.50. It comes with a matching mood ring. What do you think?”
                        “I don’t know.”
                        “Yes, it’s real.”

I say "fragglerock." *shrug* Especially if I'm around kids and I need to swear because I hurt myself. The kids ask what Fragglerock is and I can tell them that it was a delightful television show from when I was little. Yep. I also say "frak" or just gibberish.

A girl I knew at my undergrad said, "Oh, dear Betty!" I occasionally use that, merde, and EFFFFF.
