Okay, so we all know about the upcoming Cataclysm and how Azeroth shall be torn asunder.

What are your favorite areas of the current world? If destroyed, which ones will you miss the most?

I have been basically everywhere there is now- and I still hold that Westfall and Darkshire will always be my favorites. I don't know why- it just is so.

I hope Redridge is sunk- there are very few places I hate more than Redridge.
(Perhaps Zangarmarsh... but I may like it more than Redridge... it's close though. Of course it's in Outland so it will remain.)

Personally, I prefer the green areas. Lots of trees and other greenery, just like in real life. Beyond that, I'll hate to see messed with the most would be Ashenvale.

Yea, Redridge can just go away...

Edit: What I'm really waiting for is flying everywhere. Too bad the cateclysm will more than likely mess up all the cool areas you see while using a flight route, and we'll never see 'em, like the village up on top of the mountains in Dun Morough that we can't get to.

I always had a soft spot for The Barrens (despite all the Chuck Norris jokes). From what I understand it's going to be split in half. I heard that one side is going to be for higher levels and the other side not so much. Not sure if it's true though. I also really enjoyed Winterspring. The one place I really hated and I heard they were giving huge changes was...ah crap...I can't remember the zone name. It starts with an A and it's north of Org.

A lot of areas that are sort of lifeless now will become lush, green areas. So, that will be good.

Or that camp at the top of the waterfall between Elwynn Forest and Searing Gorge. I've always wanted to get there- never been able to. I don't think there's anything there, honestly, I just want to get there.

        @Sunset:

        Is it Azshara (sp?) maybe?

While I no longer play WoW, I dearly hope for the Barrens and all those within it to be swallowed in a great cataclysm of fire and misery. I have not before nor since seen a zone in an MMO so amazing full of halfwits and morons. >.>

Barrens is legendary, and not in a good way.

I love Mulgore, so green and pretty.

Barrens and Stranglethorn Vale need to burn, a lot

And seeing Desloce green is going to be weird. Really weird

                NightAngel: That's the one!

I hated Ashenvale as well. I hope that place burns down.

I don't get it. I've been to both places. There's plenty of ways to get there-- you just need to know where to start climbing. YouTube has many, many videos about exploring like this-- try searching "Secret Places of WoW".

I can even get underneath Stormwind into a hidden area. That one's really cool because it's SUPER EASY-- and Blizzard, who knows about it, hasn't fixed it yet (probably will in Cataclysm though).

The exploring of hidden places you normally have trouble reaching, or aren't supposed to go to, is one feature that I'll probably miss when Cataclysm arrives and we can just fly anywhere and cast off in small boats and such.

But, I will also miss the way the territories originally looked. Think of it: a player starts from the beginning with "Vanilla" WoW, he/she should be able to see the world the way it was at that point in the story. No longer; for the first Cataclysm patch (4.0?) will forever change everything. It's strange that the newbies of the future will have to fight Van Cleef in a post-Lich King world, and this is probably what I hate the most about how they're handling the RPG aspects of the game. Continuity.

I will also be really peeved if they mess up Azerothian quests or reputation grinding so badly that I can't get the "Loremaster" or "The Insane" titles, both of which I've been working on for my DK since September. If either goes, I go. Seriously. (Besides, there is nothing cooler than a name like "Batman the Insane".)

BTW, when Cataclysm comes out we'll be playing wolf-like people, so why isn't it called "Dogaclysm"?

Speaking of which, when Cat comes out, all the good wolf names (Wolverine, JackRussell, et al.) will be taken, so what I've taken to doing is reserving names by creating a level 1 human and not doing anything with him until the expansion comes out, then deleting and remaking as a wolvar right away. This helped me get Batman the Death Knight in WotLK, so here's hoping.
Why do they make Superglue but not Batglue?

I will just have to do that. I've heard (and seen one video) of ways to get up above Irongorge, but never been ab le to do it. Maybe there is another route. That's the one I'm most interested in because it almost looks like there is a flight point up there.

On another point. Anybody have plans on what to do the day before the patch? I fully plan on logging out right where the chasm is suppose to open up, assuming I can figure it out. I wanna see where I log back in at.

Hmmm... probably because I prefer playing the game not watching YouTube Videos of other people playing it.

It wouldn't be an accomplishment if I didn't find it on my own.

Trust me, you'll get some ideas you *never* would have thought of, or won't see if you don't happen to have exactly the right flight paths, which may specifically be less than all of them, and come in from exactly the right other area.

Speaking of which, think I just found one but since I was posting, I only half saw it...booooooo. Time to repeat the flight and pay more attention, see if I can find the little hut again.

They removed wallwalking so all of the older stuff is nerfed out, at least playing clean on a live server. Private servers with more permissive rules might still be an option. Shadow Tiger would be a good person to talk to.
