  • So the Saints made it to the Super Bowl....

is this another sign the Apocalypse is nigh?

Me, I'm grinning ear to ear right now. So close to the Super Bowl for the Vikequeens, and yet so Favre.

Too bad they have to play against the Colts - doesn't look good for the Saints.

Either way, it's good to see Favre the Diva get to pout and cry once again.

        WHO DAT?
        WHO DAT?
WHO DAT SAY DEY GON' BEAT DEM SAINTS?
        WHO DAT?
        WHO DAT?

Congratulations, Viking fans--your team fucked it. Again. The line to jump off the Favre bandwagon forms at the left.

Brett's gonna get fired in a few months. Mark my words.
The New Orleans Saints are your 2009 NFL champions.

        Believe dat.

I can't say it in real life without getting beat up, but who are all of this year's temporary Viking fans going to root for next season?

Meaning Favre is coming back another year. Favre should have just gotten his ring and completely retired.

In other news, Shonn Greene got hurt and the Jets run game was neutered mid-game. The best quarterback to play in the NFL, Manning, picked apart the defense and earned today's win. It was mad close though.

If by mad close you mean "the Colts scored 24 unanswered points to win by 13,"
then yes, it was mad close.

No, I really can't say it. Too many temporary Viking fans around here (bet you any money if Favre *finally* retires or whores around to a different team, they'll be back to whatever team they used to root for) get SO riled up when you make fun of Favre and his tendencies.

Jets missed two long field goals.
                          Garcon's 4-yard TD wasn't a catch but the Jets didn't challenge it.

Despite my being in Maryland my whole life I've been a Packers fan since birth. (Had to be, my grandfather was from Gillett, WI and wouldn't have had it any other way, still have family in Green Bay and Osh Kosh)

Even around here the Packers are pretty big, but a lot of my Packer backer friends or acquaintances were suddenly Viking fans.

Some of them even told me "I'm a Favre fan first".

I had to laugh when he got picked off at the end of regulation. It was fitting really.

                            Go Saints go!

Most of Favre's true fans saw him for the attention whore Diva he was really turning out to be, and quit supporting him.

A little off topic, but once this Super Bowl is over, I get a few months of Sundays and even Mondays that I can actually SLEEP all the way into the evening without hearing my supid neighbor destroying his apartment when the game goes awry.

I mean, I've been purposely spending all of Sundays (up until about 8:00) at my boyfriend's place just so that I can SLEEP during the afternoon......just because the Packers have been out for a couple weeks doesn't mean squat...as long as the Vikes were still alive, my neighbor was out for blood....and I mean, I just couldn't handle being woken up in the afternoon or evening (whenever the game was on) hearing things slamming, pounding, bashing and crashing.

I left my bf's last night right before 8, was in the tub a while later (can't wash my hair yet, had to take a bath, so odd) when the Vikings scored their last touchdown, and I swear to God it sounded like that entire end of the complex was going to detach and crumble to the ground.
