Well, I have once again entered the working world. What is my new job? Here are some clues:
1) I have my own office.
2) I don't need a headset.
3) I can watch DvDs, listen to my Audio books or play a game.
4) If I have to, I can tell "customers" to piss off and call the police if they don't.
5) The work can be equal parts challenging and routine.
6) My bosses are some of the coolest people I know.
Sounds cool? It is. Give up?
I work security at a local grocer distribution center. I monitor inbound and outbound trucks and several security systems. Since it's dead on night, I can do pretty much what I want (within reason). It can get hectic, what with trying to find a place to put each truck while they wait for their dock, but it's an interesting challenge and some of the truckers are cool as hell.
