I usually get pizza from local places...my parents never got Dominos/Pizza Hut/etc. when we were kids. There's a place a couple miles from them that's really good. Even in 2+ years in my apartment, I still haven't really found a good pizza place here. There's a place right across the street that I sometimes get a slice from, in a pinch, but they're not all that good. When roomie and I do order, we get it from another place that delivers.

Given a choice between Dominos and Pizza Hut, I've always preferred Pizza Hut...the only time I ate those on any regular basis was in college, and our choices there were pretty limited. We generally ordered from wherever we had the better coupons for.

Oh yeah, I forgot this: Does this mean Dominos pizzas come with less booger?

It all depends on where I am at the time:

          Irish home: Pizza Hut
          American Home: Minsky's
          St. Louis: Imo's

I did learn last year that Imo's and Ted Drewes go well together.

Now, if only I could get Ted Drewes in Ireland...

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to order from Dominos. Really good compared to the way it used to be.

But I'm also a sucker for thin crust pizzas, and at Papa John's you can only get thin crust in large. Since my husband and I have very different tastes in pizza toppings, we usually each get a medium with our own choice of toppings instead.
You DO realize that at any pizza place, you can get one pizza with different toppings on each half? Say a large with pepperoni and black olives on one half, and onions and green peppers on the other half (just as an example). That way two people with widely varied tastes can share one pizza without either one compromising.

Of course, if you have different tastes in crust, this option clearly won't work, as they still have not invented a way to do a pizza with different crusted halves.

I may have to take that as a challenge. One thick thin crust pizza coming up.

Well, they have, but of course it requires another customer to order the same thing at the same time.

Oh, I have no doubt it probably CAN be done, though I'm not taking any bets on it.. Even so, no commercial pizza place is going to actually DO it, though.

Ah, but that is not doing A pizza with different crusted halves. That is merely combining halves of two differently crusted pizzas. Not at all what I said.

Darn it. After eating Ian's Pizza on State Street in Madtown for two days, I swore I wouldn't eat pizza for a month. Now this thread is making me want pizza and the only pizza I have access to right now is the pizza on campus. It's not horrible, but not as tasty as the pizzas being talked about on here or the local pizza place back home that I love!

                        Rocky's is the best.

                        Dominoes was decent.

I only eat Pizza Hut because Becks pays for it.

                        Hated Papa John's.

Was not the least impressed with Papa Murphy's. For those prices, I can get my pizza cooked and delivered.

I like all of the major pizza chains, but I would have to say that my absolute favorite pizza is a Tombstone with sprinkled with extra four cheese Mexican blend and provolone.
