They are decent fast food, but to me the best part of Culvers is that they have butter brickle custard every once in a while. Since I can't find any ice cream companies that make it anymore, it's the next best thing.

and @ IPF: don't know how long you've had the tag, but '9 for a lost god' if that's any help.....

Hehe. Last weekend my brother and I went with my mom to visit a family friend in hospice. We met up at my parents' house first and drove down together. When we left the hospital we called to order pizza and picked it up on the way home. The pizza place carries Stewart's root beer, which for some reason is hard to find in most of the grocery stores (7-11 across the street from me didn't even have any kind of root beer last time I looked). So I had to pick up a bottle, just to go with my ice cream later.

Every once in a while I get a root beer craving, and I can never find it in anything less than 2-liter bottles, unless I make a special trip (though I discovered that the deli across the street from me has just about every flavor of Stewart's sodas, in 4-packs or individual bottles...mmm, cherry cream).

I thought of you today, IPF...I was watching Supersize Me and he talks to someone from a company in your town...
            Oh yeah, them.

Don't think I've ever dealt with them personally but I hear they're not the nicest people in the world. I believe they once threatened to shut the business down and move to Indiana (I think) unless the county/city/whatever applicable government body would let them do something with their house or property that was against the rules.

As for their products, they're perfectly fine but ridiculously expensive. I can't justify spending five bucks for a loaf of their bread when the two-dollar-a-loaf stuff is perfectly fine and healthy.

I think I know where I'm taking my mom for lunch tomorrow.

I love their mashed potatoes...and the fudge pecan sundaes.

You should've stopped at Kopp's. Their burgers are as big as your head.

Kopp's was on Chowdown Countdown. I want to try their custard soooo badly.

I hate you all. I can't have burgers or fries or cheesecurds or ice cream.

I haven't eaten at McDonalds since New Year.
