  • Seriously Kitty?

Our cat loves our spare bathroom. It's one of her favorite places to hang out, besides on top of furniture or window sills.

A few minutes ago I'm hearing a banging and thrashing. I get up from the computer and walk into my bedroom. Wife is asleep, Dog #2 is on bed with her. Dog #1 hears me walking around and comes upstairs to see what I'm doing.

I start to head back to the computer when I hear it louder.

Walk into the bathroom, open the shower curtain, and "hi kitty". She's in the tub.

Few minutes later, she's back there again.

And now I hear that familiar bumping noise.

She can get in but not out. I'm starting to think she's doing it because she likes me coming to rescue her.

How old is she that she can't get herself out of a bathtub?

My boycat used to like to play with the water. We'd turn on the faucet and he'd try to catch the water before it went down the drain. His sister would watch from the ledge but she wouldn't get wet for anything. And when we closed the drain he would back up as soon as he realized the water was actually collecting and submerging his feet.

I would, but she just squirms out of my arms or tries to claw me. She doesn't like being touched.

She can get out, she can't find the hole in the curtain from the back side. She just turned 1, but she's a tiny little thing.

Mine jumps in the bathtub if you go anywhere near the bathroom, because walking into the bathroom casts shadows over the shower curtain that must me slain from within. Although she'll get up on the edge of the tub if you're taking a bath or shower too and just stare at you.....

One of my kitties used to climb up on a stack of junk in our laundry area and meow and meow until someone comes to save her. She is perfectly capable of jumping down, and will, if she's ignored.

The funny thing is she doesn't usually like being picked up. But rescue her from the laundry pile and she purrs and purrs.

My white kitty, Snow, just *loved* to curl up in the bathtub. She would sometimes sleep in there. But, if she wasn't in the tub, she'd actually get into the kitchen sink, and curl up among the dirty dishes Strange kitty, since she also knew how to close the heating vents in the living room...yet would usually stretch out on her fuzzy kitty blankie

If you don't close the door all the way, Stripes might come in and get up on the side of the tub, between the inner and outer curtains. He likes to run in there and hop in the tub whenever someone opens the door, though we don't turn the water on for him much anymore.

Mine sits on the edge and tail fishes if you're taking a bath. Water doesn't seem to bother her. My cat is odd, her tail is always straight up. Literally, always. Weigh down the tip with water and she wanders around with a droop.

Got to love when ours hit a little jingle ball around the tub like a maniac.

That's cute. I don't think I've ever taken an actual bath with the cats around. Might have to try it next time I house-sit...

She's not cute, she is a terrifying creature that is undoubtedly plotting my demise. I am only saved by the fact I keep the cat treats on the top shelf of the cupboard.
