  • Who Dat?!

Well the Saints won the Super Bowl! Congrats to them! I can only imagine what Bourbon St. looks like right now...

They were showing a picture of Bourbon street a little bit ago. What a zoo! I was trying to find a webcam, but a lot of them have crashed.

And listening to Drew Brees' comments, I think Mardi Gras gettin' started early this year!
It's floating wicker propelled by fire!

It's a chant used after the Saints win a game:

WHO DAT SAY DEY GON' BEAT DEM SAINTS?
          WHO DAT?
          WHO DAT?

What a game. What a win. What a night.

            Thanks

I was at my uncle's but I read between commercials
(which weren't all that great, either)

Yeah I was surprised. Not up to par with usual Superbowl Commercials. The kid smacking the guy with the doritos was funny. And the TPain Budweiser one.

Also, hubby now wants a Hyundai Sonata.

My personal fave commercials were the Google Paris search and the banjo-playing beaver because it was so ridiculous.

I missed the banjo-playing beaver. I did see the Google Paris search but I wasn't totally paying attention. I liked the Bud Light one with the astronomers.

The Dorito's one with little kid telling Mom's boyfriend what's what was really cute.

Of course, the real game to watch was the Puppy Bowl! This year there were bunny cheerleaders, in addition to the annual Kitty Halftime Show. I want Jake the Chihuahua/Pug mix...He was MVP (Most Valuable Puppy). They've been rerunning it back to back since 3pm (I think the last one ends at 1am.)

Loved the Simpsons one and the google paris commercials. The doritos dressed guy was okay but most of the commercials failed this year.

So who else loved that touchdown by the Saints?

Ugh, I can't stand the Saints. It is one of the biggest bandwagon teams in awhile. And "who dat" is the dumbest football phrase I've heard. I almost hate the Saints more than the Patriots.

Being Arkansan, the Saints are the closest I have to a 'hometown' team, so yay? (I mean, I'm certainly not going to root for the Chiefs.) I don't know, I really don't care so much about football. I only caught a bit of the halftime show and missed the end because I was watching the best episode of Iron Chef America EVER. Talked to the BF (a Colts fan) later and he said Peyton Manning completely sucked the last quarter and then cried like a little girl when he lost.

I looked up the NCIS commercial...funny! But they haven't done the head slaps in quite a while.

I agree. I can't stand the Saints and was really hoping the Colts would kick their ass.

The commercials were fun to watch though. I liked alot of the Budweiser commercials. Like the one where the guy's house was made out of beer cans. The commercial with Dave Letterman, Oprah, and Jay Leno was pretty funny too.
