I'm applying to several nursing programs in the area. My first choice is a bachelor's program (the others are associate programs) that is very competitive. I believe for last semester there were 1200 applicants, 500 interviews and 120 students accepted. They've been sending out interview letters for a few weeks now and I finally got mine on Saturday! Go me! Now I just have to buy a suit and write a new resume and not make an ass out of myself... Hopefully being a bit older than the average college student will help, with all my "life experiences."
I also got engaged on Saturday. I'm actually more excited and nervous about the interview than getting engaged, but that's because I'm pretty ambivalent about getting married. We've been together for years and living together for years and we're not having a big wedding, so what's the big deal? Yay for my pretty ring, though. It's sparkly and stuff!
