Anyone work with these and have a recommendation? I was looking at getting a pair but am having trouble. I bought a pair last night that I plan on returning. When I tried to use them, they wouldn't stay in the holes and slid around. I'm hoping I can find something in town but thinking I might have to order online. I need my own pair though because trying without is what led to my ice pic cut on my arm which luckily was shallow enough to not hurt much and amuse me more than anything.

      this set here
That's actually the first set I got and it kept coming apart on me. I'm guessing that I maybe need ones a bit stronger? I've never had to use these before so I don't even know what kind of stuff they get used on let alone what kind of different types of rings they are, just that they are on the hardware that goes inside the door handles and such. Just managed to find the set I had been borrowing from my coworker here after searching for them all yesterday. Not sure if I'll stick with those or not.

i guess i should have asked what you were going to use them for. my bad. the ones i have i use for small clips on engine parts and once on a transmission. there are some available from the grainger catalouge, they were about $65 but were very heavy duty, used set screws for the pins, and weigh about half a pound. though if youre going to use them often go for the heavier duty set.
