Her van was parked outside her apartment and when they were plowing her apartment's parking lot, apparently they smashed in the rear of her van. She gets a free rental until her car is ready. The car they gave her? A brand new Dodge Charger. FML. Someone crash into my car so I can get a free Dodge Charger for a week or so.

I confirmed it. It's a silver, 2010 Dodge Charger. She won't let me drive it at all. I'm pissed.

When our crap minivan was in the shop we got a GMC Jimmy with all the bells and whistles as a loaner. My mother was sorry to give it back.

Also, my mother reserved a compact car rental to drive to her father's funeral -- but when she got to the rental place they had sent out all the compacts, and upgraded her to a fire-engine-red Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible. We agreed that Grandpa would love someone showing up to his funeral in that.

Let's hope that there's a part, that the repair can't be done without, that will be on a couple months or so backorder so not only will she have the Charger for a nice while, but will be able to drive as it is meant to be driven, once the weather gets better and the roads clear up.
