Dave Mustaine said in an interview that quite a few of the songs on that subject were inspired by an ex-girlfriend. There are quite a few of them besides the ones you listed. One time in concert, right before they played "Tornado of Souls", he said he couldn't understand why so many bands ruined their albums by putting love songs on them. He said they closest thing they had to that was "Boy meets girl, boy likes girl, girl doesn't like boy, boy kills girl."
