I has a shiny!
So, the BF came to visit this weekend! He arrived on Friday night and was supposed to leave yesterday morning, but we got a pretty good snow/ice storm on Sunday and he decided to wait another day for the roads to clear. (He has to drive through some pretty abandoned highway in Missouri.) All in all, it was a wonderful, amazing weekend. He was pretty sick when he got here; I had to make a trip to Walgreens at 5 am Saturday for cough syrup. He's feeling better, but now I've started to get a sore throat. 
It's ok, totally worth it.
We really didn't do much, just stayed in and watched TV and movies (Goodbye, Lenin and Death Proof). Talked a lot about the possibility of him moving here, what we'd have to do, if we could stay in this apartment, etc. Hung out with a few of my friends, all of whom highly approve.
He made me dinner: stuffed bell peppers and macaroni and cheese with Oreo cake for dessert. And, I got my Valentine's Day present. I had already sent his to him, a poster from the webcomic Questionable Content (the one with Hanners sledding down the hill). He did such an awesome job with mine though, a beautiful amethyst necklace.
The pic of the necklace is a bit fuzzy. But it's gorgeous. I do need to get a stronger chain; I'm terrified that I'll break this one and lose the charm. Ah, here's a better pic of the necklace: http://www.zales.com/product/index.j...ductId=3894311
