  • So how was your lunch?

Around 8 hours or so ago I pulled some nie hot steamy burritos out of the microwave. Ahhh lovely things with melted cheese, beans, and beef with a nice shell. Yummy.

Getting myself something to drink I sat down and started to eat while looking at a paper on my laptop and so not watching what I eat. But hey I know where the fork is and where my mouth is...so I'm good.

I hear a couple cracks and look around. Shrugging I shift my plate and hear another loud cracking. Some snow fell off the trailer next door so I'm thinking ice is breaking off on the roof because I had turned on the furnace to have a nice warm lunch.

Taking another bite full I start to immediately gag after biting down. Pain in my mouth and a weird feeling that makes me half swallow before spitting out my latest bite.

It wasn't ice breaking...it was the plate my lunch was on.

Thinking I got most out I tossed the plate and the rest of my lunch into the trash and then took that bag out so the dogs wouldn't get ideas. Heading into the bathroom I washed my mouth out quite a bit. But still had a bit of blood from a cut toung, gum, and roof of my mouth.

They are somewhat 'healed' now but dangit...I didn't want that for lunch.

I don't know really. The plates are/were 12 years old. I'm thinking it just was a temperature change from somewhere.

Once I put bacon in the microwave for too long and it cracked the plate. Probably the temperature change. I'm glad you didn't swallow any of the plate!
