  • Anybody Need a Pair of Globetrotters Tickets?

I stayed at a Howard Johnson Inn a while back. Unknown to me at the time, they were running a promo: stay two nights, get two vouchers for free tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters. I won't have a chance to go (the show closest to me is an eight-hour drive away). I thought I'd see about giving back to my favorite community and offering them to forum members.

I have two of these vouchers. I'll mail them to anybody in the US or Canada at no charge (I can afford a stamp or two). Just tell me you're interested and why, and I'll try to figure out a fair way to pick a recipient.

Note: these are vouchers for free tickets, not actual tickets. You'll have to go to an arena box office to redeem them.

The actual text on the vouchers reads:
Present and redeem this coupon at participating arena box offices during normal business hours. Valid up until show time. One voucher is good for one ticket. Additional adjacent tickets may be purchased when this voucher is exchanged. Valid on select price categories. Subject to availability. Please visit http://harlemglobetrotters.com/hojo for a list of eligible dates and locations.

If you're interested, please check out that link to see if there are any shows close to you. Remember, I'll be sending the vouchers by USPS mail, so you'll have to account for shipping time. Some general areas of shows in April and May are:
    - Alaska
    - British Columbia
    - California
    - Washington DC
    - Iowa
    - Illinois
    - Indiana
    - Kansas
    - Maryland
    - Michigan
    - Minnesota
    - Missouri
    - Montana
    - Nebraska
    - Ohio
    - Oklahoma
    - Ontario
    - Quebec
    - Tennessee
    - Texas
    - Virginia
    - Washington
    - Wisconsin

(There are a few shows toward the end of this month, but the timing might be a bit difficult with those.)

My wife and I would love those vouchers. Every time they've come by, we said we were going to see them and every time, something happened to prevent it.
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

Not interested in seeing the Globetrotters, but that's really generous of you!

Last year, my son's KinderTot class was part of the halftime show for the 'Trotters. So I finally!! got to see the Globetrotters after years of asking. Well at least most of the show, had to shuttle my kid back and forth to the ready-room and bathrooms.

Whoever gets to go, you'll enjoy it.

Jester: Correct me if I'm wrong, but I get the vague impression that you just might be a little bit disappointed about the situation... Sorry you missed them.

r2cagle: Yeah, I got to go with my aunt for her birthday a few years back. The best part was watching the Globetrotters interact with the kids that got to come down onto the court with them.

Well, Nurian, I guess you and your wife will get another chance to go, since you're the only one who has expressed interest and who can get to one of the upcoming shows. Send me your mailing address by PM, and I'll stick these vouchers in the mail for you. You'll have to let us know how it goes.
