...because none of the stores in my area have the right kind of cheese!!

I found a recipe for this Apple-Bacon-Roquefort Pie that sounds absolutely amazing. I'm having a Pi Day Pie Party tomorrow (geek parties! Yay!) and decided to try this amazing pie.

But I can't find a store that carries Roquefort!!

Damn Yankees...hoarding all the cheese...

Is there a Whole Foods near you? They generally have a good cheese selection, at least that I've seen. Can't guarantee the whole companywide is goingn to have awesome cheese resources, but they're a good place for cheese.

Sadly, no. The nearest Whole Foods is in Long Beach, and I'm not driving that far for cheese! There is a Henry's Market and Trader Joe's nearby though, so I'm checking those.

Trader Joe's might work, never been to one, but I've heard good things. Never heard of a Henry's Market, though. Good luck on your quest!

You could sub a pungent blue cheese. I live in Cheeselandialand and I rarely see roquefort here. If I did, it would probably be in the deli section.

Trader Joe's had it! *happy cheese dance* I have to say, it looks gross, with the green veins of mold going through it. Even though I know that's what gives it the flavor, and all blue cheeses have that, it still grossed me out a little.

I'm confused, you're in Cali and can't find cheese? The commercials claim happy cows make the best cheese, and they are in Cali?

Could the commercials be lying to me? Can cows actually not talk? AHh!
