  • My stomach is in knots....

So I have now received TWO count em TWO phone calls about something at work that has nothing to do with me.

Seems like someone may have written down something that they couldnt have possibly known, and now, b/c im the nurse that was on with was on that shift , it falls on me.

Yeah. I dont think so. This is something that should be easily provable as NOT done by me.

My manager is a nice lady. My new coworkers have NOT seen my bitch side yet, Ive only been there maybe 9 months. However, If I end up trying to be reprimanded for this, it will make an appearance....ugh. ......And they will cower before me. LOL.

ETA: Im not a crazy bitch..just a stubborn one... Lol.

Though no one else seems interested, Ill post for my own sanity...

I called a coworker who was working with me this night, whose job IT IS to have written down was was written.

I didnt specifically ask him if he had written said thing, but asked if the manager had contacted him. And she hadnt...even though she told me she had messages/emails out to the others that would have been involved in this.

So..the MAIN person whos job it is, to write what was written (and possibly false), wasnt contacted, but IVE personally received 2 calls about something I have no idea about?? WTF?!

I feel like Im missing something...like theres some bigger picture and im only being allowed to see the corner of it....I feel like i should be kinda scared for my job. I dont know whats going on.

This is a very convoluted situation....

Paranoia's a nice little guide, but don't let it run away with you. If you're only seeing part of the picture, look for the rest of it. And cover your tracks.

      Keep us posted
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

Sorry, I was out of commission this weekend... but understanding some of the nebulous world of nursing and reporting (and hearing my mom kvetch about her RN job), I'd don't blame you for being upset.

How difficult is it going to be to get a one on one with manager and hammer this out with details and ramifications and why are you the one having to field this with personal phone calls, just because you were working that night? Not knowing the exact situation, (you've managed to stay vague enough..lol) I'd say some private information was incorrectly leaked to a coworker and you're being blamed for it? Which is crazy, 'cause everyone knows that healthcare is one of the worst places to try and keep any secrets. Hell, my mom only works parttime, 3-11, 3 days/wk and she always knows which doctors/nurses/employees/patients/relatives are screwing around. Friggin' regular Peyton Place is the healthcare industry. The only secrets in healthcare are the ones in your mind. Your 'crazy bi^&h' may have to come out, hang in there, don't let it get to you. Wear Secret or Ban...Degree?? Which one is ..'never let them see you sweat'?
Make a list of important things to do today.
At the top of your list, put 'eat chocolate'
Now, you'll get at least one thing done today
