Wonky weather of late

So yesterday the temperature spiked at 18 / 64 degrees celsius / farenheit. It was warm enough not to bother with coats. I swear we skipped spring and went right to early summer. At least I won't get my usual weather change-induced splitting migraine.

And then there's today, where we got snow flurries. Granted they were very brief flurries, but still what's up with that? I swear looking at the weather in these parts is like looking at a yo-yo. Up and down, up and down...

We've been in the low 70s the last few days. Went to the park after work for the first time this year.

It was 70's on Friday and then that night we got hit with a blinding snowstorm.

Yea, we got the blizzard yesterday evening. The snow started before I left work that morning (and having forgotten my gloves and hat meant a cold ride home). It was snowing pretty good when I left for work, and once I got there, as I sat in my truck listening to my audiobook, it went from pretty good, to down-right blinding snow within 10 min.

Snow had stopped sometime during the night, and today when I left for work, I had to unzip the coat and loose the hat and gloves. Even the sheet of solid ice on my mirrors melted off by the time I got to work.

It's springtime on the front range, where April showers bring May blizzards.

We've had upper 60's/lower 70's for highs the last three or 4 days, but we've now got spotty showers right now through tomorrow evening.

After having windows open in the house since yesterday, I had to close the one in my bedroom and also in the office just a little while ago because I got chilly and had to turn the heater on because I got a chill.

And we're seeing trees budding out now. I've got two dogwoods already sprouting leaves and another one with buds on it and we're seeing Cherry Blossoms blooming all over the place now. Even our maple trees are starting to bud out. Our buttercups have been blooming for almost 2 weeks now, so now everything's confused.

It's been really nice here - high 40's, low 50's at night (great fan weather) and upper 60's / low 70's during the day. We rarely used our AC over the past few months but I think it's over now. Back to the regular hot and humid weather of south Florida.
