Dave lived and worked in a tourist-dependant town. I did, too. Not his, but still a heavily-dependant-on-tourists town. He was not exaggerating. It's sad how so many people figured that since they weren't near friends, family, and people they were out to impress, they could behave badly.

The psychooloy is out there to explain why but I'm not digging into my boks to locate it all again.

I have to be honest, I started to take his posts with a grain of salt.. it seemed beyond belief that he would encounter such incredible EWs with completely unrealistic explanations, demands, and the same condescending nature day in/day out. But I always found it entertaining none the less. But since he left that job, I guess he really wasn't exaggerating.
I used to temp as the "concierge" for an upscale RV park in a tourist town.

      He's not exaggerating.

according to his profile, he was last on a few days ago...the 14th (not stalkerish at all ).
Of course not . Let's hope that he tell us how he is, even if no SCs exist in his world any more.

Whatever he's doing, I wish him the best. His old job was something I couldn't take for 5 minutes!

I cannot say empirically whether or not Dave was exaggerating about his job and the people and situations he had to deal with.

I can say with certainty, however, that living in a tourist town as I do, I have experiences that tell me such behavior is not as far-fetched as some of you may think.

Most tourists are pretty okay people. A select few, though, are just horrible, and sometimes incredibly stupid. These tourist morons we have dubbed "tourons." Anyone who has ever lived for more than five minutes in a tourist town knows the difference between a tourist and a touron.

So yeah, Dave may have been exaggerating. I don't know. But I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out he wasn't even slightly embellishing the truth. Some of this stuff is simply....astounding.

Wow.. some time to get into the car business.. but I actually heard on the radio the other day that luxury car sales are improving, so maybe he got in at the right time. I used to live at 8405 Atlantic Ave in Virginia Beach, up by Fort Story, ocean side. Trust me, the tourists that rent the properties there are that sucktastic entitlement whores. I lived on the bottom floor of a 2 unit place, and the apartment on the second floor [first floor for you europeans on here] and you would not believe the assholes that rented the place, and the people who rented the places around us.

I miss the VA Beach of the mid 80s ... back when Anchor Inn and Duck Inn were actually good, Jewish Mother was fun and let you color with crayons on stuff ... *sigh*
