YAY!!
Not that I'm enjoying going thru my stuff and knowing I'm downsizing, but I'm moving to a tiny place in the country..no more city life for me. The good side of the tiny place is I'm reducing my monthly expenditures by quite a bit, $150 on rent alone, plus no more paying gas, electric, sewer, water and trash bills. Just rent and electric, and with them I'm going to be paying less then I was on rent alone
My current neighbors are doing the daily screaming, had to call the landlord about them yesterday (parking again, and the landlord is sick of their crap she came over and made them move out of my spot), and I don't mind. Next week I'm gone. Crew is lined up, two trucks with two trailers with any luck I can do this in one trip.
I know my new neighbors, one is the reason I got the place, their dad owns it. I got a text the minute the person living there moved their first box out
No more crappy neighbors, no more looking to see how close the shooting was, or cops outside my house looking for shells. I can buy a car stereo again and not worry so much it'll just be stolen (on the funny side, the one that was stolen was so old my son found an identical one on craigslist for $10 prior to mine being stolen).

I did a similar happy dance when I moved out of Uptown. To walk to the L without being accosted for spare change--what a concept.
