  • "He can park in front of the house IF he has to"

My neighbor, who had been away for a while, came back recently & I ran into him today. He inquired about my car, which is parked in back of my house, in the large parking lot, owned by our landlord. I told him I put it there for the time being until I get the money I need to get rid of it. Where it's parked at, it's not in the way of anyhting & it's off the street AND it's ok with my landlord. I asked her.

So he was worried that somebody would complain about not being able to park there especially my brother, who lives next door to me. He always parks in "his" space. He wasn't home at the time so I told my neighbor that if you look down on the ground then you won't see anybody's name on it designating a reserved parking spot. It's for ANYBODY who lives in the buildings owned by the landlord. AND I told him that my brother could park in front of the buidling rather than in the back. So my neighbor parked in my brother's usual spot...lol.

So when my brother came home from work & saw that he got pissed. I told him about my conversation with the neighbor & if my brother has to, then he can park in front of the building rather than in back. He walked away pissed off.

I wish I had the money to get rid of my car & free up the parking space but I can't do that right now. It's ok with my landlord with my car being there. I told her it won't be there forever.

Honestly now, there are a TON of parking spaces near our area & my brother gets all huffy about his "space". He doesn't own the damn thing even IF he's lived there for almost 20 years!!

Drama where no drama needs to be!

You need money to get rid of a car?
Now the trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed.

There are a number of charities that will take cars off your hands - at least, around in California. I don't know about anywhere else.

Last couple of times I had to have a car towed off because it no longer ran, I called around and found someone who would pay me to come and get it. Not a lot, but if it got the heap out of my life and I made a few bucks in the deal, I was happy.

Call around to your closest wrecking yards. I'll bet someone will pick it up for free just for the scrap metal.
