Some of my former coworkers were between 18 and 22. At the time I thought "I was in junior high or a HS freshman when they were born or in diapers..."
Hehe, during my second stint in Store1, I worked with a girl who was a senior in high school. I didn't realize it until my then-boyfriend and I went to see her school play, and I saw her dad's ad in the program (he's a local lawyer), but I used to babysit her. I was 14, she was 6.

I got an email forward from my mom today, from my dad's brother. Their granddaughter (my aunt's son's daughter; he's my step-cousin, I guess) just had her third kid. (She got married at like 21, I think. Not sure how old she is now.)

"tomorrow [so, today] is my birthday...I feel old.....I'll be 25."
Feh! I wish I were only that "old". I'll be 42 next July.

I'm gonna make most of you feel really old in a second, but I have to point this out.

A good chunk of people responding in this thread are older than my mom.

My mom just turned 36 this past Saturday.

Continue with your regularly scheduled thread.

Doesn't make me feel old, I'm still one of the youngest at my work... hoo boy, I work with a bunch of old people, no wonder they're crotchety.

I can sympathize with the guy in the original story, actually. I'm going to be 28 later this year and I feel old because of it. It's probably because a lot of my friends are younger than me, including my husband. (I've been called a cradle robber. Or a cougar. ) I just keep thinking of how close I'm getting to 30. I remember my mom making a big, hairy deal of being 30 and getting old, though, so that's probably part of it, too. On my 30th birthday, I plan on wearing my hair in a couple of ponytails and going out for ice cream.

Making the fundamental assumption that your husband is legal... WTF??

Ok, I exaggerate slightly, but seriously, that's rather out there. Does he look a lot younger than he is?

heh...my brother just turned 37 a couple weeks ago. I was noticing how much gray hair he's gotten at his temples...
I turn 34 in a bit over 2 months, and I've already started going gray

Cougar?! I thought a "cougar" had to be over 40, and dating a man at least 15 years younger.

It won't let me view the 1968, but in the current pic you look like what I thought you would, except the long hair.

45 this year. I still have trouble believing I've been around that long.
Me too! I will be 45 in December....

I have been married to a man 20 years older than me for 19 years. We have heard it all. When we got together we were given 6 months. They are all divorced and we are still together. So to those people who have to make stupid comments to people about who they are with, meet my little friend!
