I have often joked that I make beer a large part of my vacations. It's not a complete joke, as I am always looking to try new beers, or old favorites that I can't get here.
But for the first time, I am actually taking a beer vacation. Okay, a beer mini-vacation, but still, the entire point of the trip is my favorite beverage: BEER!
To be precise, my friend Little Red and I are heading up to Fort Lauderdale for a weekend in mid-April for their annual Beer Fest, a festival devoted to beer. We already have our tickets and our hotel booked, we've requested the appropriate days off from work, and now it's just a matter of waiting with baited breath (and drooling mouth) for the appointed day to arrive.
So, if anyone is going to be in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, April 17, and would enjoy joining us at Beer Fest, drop me a line. We'll raise a few cold ones!
