I've had problems with the tiny ants, too. The best thing I've found to get rid of them is the ant traps from Raid.

At first it will seem like the ants are multiplying by the millions but once they start eating the bait and taking it back to their colony, they soon disappear. They really do work great.

...so unless you're in the habit of washing your floors with Pepsi...
That just made me laugh. I should remember that it's dangerous if I read these posts at work.

*falls over laughing* I HAVE THAT RECORD!

Okay back to the tiny agrivating ants. I have found that they all are seeming to come in the home through the bedroom I sleep in. Wonderful eh?

Outside I have put down some of the brown suger cream of wheat, inside are some ant traps kept far away from the pets.

And GK, no, it's not pepsi. But there was that one night when the sprite bottle split down the side when it fell off the counter...

They're just in the house because their colony is along or under one of the walls and your management sucks too much to do anything about it.

does my management company suck too then?

They won't spray for harmless bugs because we live two blocks from the lake and it's illegal to do so here*-yes there are places where spraying toxic chemicals willy-nilly is not a good idea no matter how annoying a harmless insect might be.

It's not always a black and white issue-and it's kind of sad to me that the first reaction of most people to something that isn't harming them, merely an annoyance is "OMG-spray it with poison to kill it!" That can't be healthy...on any level....

*no lawn fertilizers, no "pest control" spraying, no weed killers-it ends up in the lake and groundwater-you want to be drinking/swimming in that? Since the ban we haven't had as many issues with having to close the lakes due to potentially lethal blue-green algae
Honestly.... the image of that in my head made me go "AWESOME!"..... and then I remembered I am terribly strange.-Red dazes

We used Terro quite a bit in FL with no worries. If it's the same ants, I think they were called ghost ants, that we had down there we were told that they were after a water source. That's a bit involved, but we just kept some old towels around to wipe down the sinks and the shower. They didn't go after the toilet.
I've also heard that if you draw a chalk line, just normal school chalk, they won't cross it. Never tried that though
Is it really SO hard to listen to the prompts?
