It's mostly diet....I don't care what anyone else eats....I only care about what is going in my tummy

If, however, you are a political vegetarian, yeah, you are a full-on hypocrite.
Depends on what politics you're protesting. When I can eat meat, I still generally choose not to, as a political thing. However it's not because I think it's wrong to eat meat, it's because I am a crazy hippie environmentalist and humanitarian who thinks that we need to eat less meat. (That and I try to eat meat at a low enough and efficient enough level that factory farms would be unprofitable and animals get treated better).

Fish is not a vegetable, but a lot of "vegetarians" eat fish. Sure, it means they are not true vegetarians, but everyone decides for themselves what they will eat, and unless you are making a political stand out of your diet, it doesn't matter.
It is, however, horribly confusing. My aunt went "vegetarian" a year ago, and for the longest time I kept forgetting that she was ok with eating fish. And it can be a problem from the "can I eat anything" side of things. At the moment I am close to vegan of necessity, but even though she knows I can't have milk, I cannot just assume that there will be food for me if she's cooking unless I give her more instructions. Again, now that I remember she eats fish this isn't a problem, but it was before.

And I think that the Jell-o girl was just that incredibly stupid. I suppose not getting informed does make you a pretty bad vegetarian, but bear in mind I've seen products labeled as "Vegetarian! Dairy-free! No eggs! Vegan!". People are indeed that ignorant.

but I think pigs will eat meat, fowl will certainly eat fish, and a lot of fish will eat other fish.
Pigs are the best way to dispose of a body. <.< >.>

And I know that chickens occasionally eat their young if not carefully watched. Or maybe ecovillage just had unusual cannibal chickens.

I know that, and you know that, I just think it's funny the political "vegetarians" who will eat meat, or chicken because it's "not meat" which is what I thought that point was of that show.

And yes it was the blogger episode.

I did full on vegetarian for a few years, but it wasn't a political diet -.-

Didn't work for me in the long run, wasn't healthy ( for me personally that is. I don't begrudge carnivores or herbivores. ). Taught me to cook and eat better though. I eat meat now, but only leaner white meats and only if I can bake it or grill it. Never red meats, too heavy.

Also, it led to my patented Heathen Burgers(tm). Get yourself some portabella mushroom burgers ( 100% vegan~ ). Grill em, then garnish em with bacon, herbs and garlic feta cheese for the sacrilege. <3

Poor geese. I had no idea.

How is a fish anything but a dead animal? If you are veg for health reasons, eating fish makes sense, 100%. Otherwise, it makes you ... well, a veg-hypocrite! I don't think you should call yourself vegetarian if you eat dead animals, though. You aren't, you just don't eat land animals. Personally, I love me a hamburger too much - I feel no guilt wearing leather! In fact, I have a compulsion to do so sometimes, it's weird.
