Ok, not quite, but almost!
There I was yesterday watching a movie with my boyfriend, I kept hearing plastic bags on the floor moving, had a random thought that it might have been mice, but my cat wasn't going haywire (and he would), so I thought nothing more often. Fast forward a couple of hours and I'm outside enjoying the last of the warm sunshine in this part of the world (hiya from NZ!) and the bf comes outside telling me to look at the amount of dust that has collected on a DVD case, now this is a little more then the "I haven't dusted for a couple of months" dust, this is an uh-oh, somethings are moving in the house that shouldn't be.
Lets take a look at the large crack that has been in the ceiling since before we moved in. That plastic bag I could hear moving every so often in the movie, it was trying to tell me something! There is definitely a LOT of stuff falling from the crack in the ceiling, and it is sagging a little more. Uh-oh, big time. Get the landlords number from my e-mail, ring him up, tell him whats a happening and unplug the TV and other things that were underneath said crack.
Hang up from speaking to landlord.
Move coffee table so as to be able to roll TV cabinet (it's on wheels!) away from crack.
Turn around.
CRASH BANG WOLLOP SMASH!
Well, just as well I hadn't made it back over there to move the TV, huh? Probably be in hospital if I had been over there.
Hit redial on the phone, inform landlord that the ceiling has literally just collapsed, so he decided that instead of maybe coming around that afternoon, probably the next morning, he was definitely coming around that afternoon. Fortunately all of the electronics that were over there are working, still haven't fully checked the television out, but it turns on

Did I mention that we moved in at New Years? And I'm pretty sure the crack wasn't getting bigger or anything, like yesterday was the first time I'd seen the dust like it was, even when I was vacuuming.
