  • This is really sweet

I received this card about 3 weeks after my two beautiful pups Alex and Axel died from my vet clinic, it read.

    Dear Mr and Mrs K

Our deepest sympathy is with you after the loss of your two beautiful little pups.

Although you only had them a short time, they obviously were a special part of your family. May they always be remembered with love.

Please let us know if we can help in any way.

From all the staff at vet clinic.

I thought that was a beautiful gesture from them and I'll always be appreciated of the help they gave me whilst trying in vain to save my girls. I always tear when I read it.

Ok, no more tears, off to eat my lasange.
I am but a tiny, barren, insignificant rock caught in the glorious orbit of your shining sun. Gravekeeper.

Some vets do that and it is nice to see it. When we put Mango down our vet in NJ did the same thing.

My vet sends cards like that.

          It's so thoughtful.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

When Pablo died, Ex got cards from both the hospital where he died and from his regular vet.

Our vet has done that too. Really means a lot to receive that card. If I remember correctly, we did get one once expressing sympathy, and letting us know they had made a donation in the deceased pet's name to a local shelter. There's no question why we've been using the same vet's office for 40 years.
