    Wow! Just Wow!!

Firstly = this woman is definately no friend of yours or your wife. Steer clear of her if you can

Secondly = SQUEE!!!!!! that is the most beautiful dog I have seen. I googled Vlcak and saw some of the most amazing pictures and one site that quotes "...made from German Shepherd and Karpathian Wolf...." How's that for a bloodline!!!! If i had a property big enough, I would look into one of these myself. I wonder if they have made it to Australia yet........

Beautiful dogs. You know, you aren't helping this whole "wife and I want a larger breed dog but don't live in a house conducive to the energy output of such dogs" bit. Also doesn't help that wife and I love German Shepherds. :-P

On a side note, I thought I recognized your domain name/ip address. You host with the company I work for. :-)

I love the look of soooo many large dogs, but I'm too sensible to get one. Just don't have the right home for them.

But I do ADORE the little mixed-breed shelter terrierish I have.

My mom picked up a dog that was quarter wolf a long time ago from someone who had puppies they didn't want. Some dog got into our back yard (the meter reader couldn't ever be bothered to actually latch the gate, the asshole), and we ended up with puppies. We kept one, and he looked almost exactly like a vlcak.

Just an update: my wife's "friend's" puppy flies in tonight and I have a feeling that her friend won't be able to pick up the puppy so my wife (being the nice person she is) will volunteer to get the puppy.

Who wants to bet? Anyone? Anyone?

Okay 25 cents. Is your wife someone who doesn't like to hurt anyone's feelings?

Where do you want me to ship the quarter?

For someone who really doesn't care about how others think about her she's really dedicated not to hurt people's feelings.

The puppy got delayed and he'll be here at 2PM tomorrow now.

                    The puppy or the quarter?

You'll have to deal with customs since he's flying in from Hungary.

Turns out the breeder she got the puppy from is a large scale back yard breeder / commercial breeder, too.

Both? I could use a quarter.
I hate to say it but I'm putting a buck on the pup being sick. So that might be a customs issue, I've been seeing strangles more often now it's really bothering me too.

Actually, the flight ws delayed and Delta claimed that customs wouldn't be open so they didn't send him. (This is bull - customs in Ft Lauderdale is open 24-7 for cargo - we even confirmed this today).

My wife rebooked so he'd be here around 2 PM but the kennel he was at last night didn't get him to the airport on time.

My wife's friend had to go to customs today to clear him before they could ship him down but he is apparently on his way here now.

I do feel bad for the puppy - this is extremely highly stressful for an 8 week old puppy and could have serious consequences in his development.

I'm really against shipping animals, especially that young, there are different situations but..still. If you are going to get one go and get it, but then again anyone getting a dog needs to go and see everything before considering even getting an animal from that particular breeder.

It's official, out schutzund club is the first (and only) club in the USA that has two Czechoslovakian vlcaks.

Her friend stopped by with the puppy. He looks very nice (he is going to be big when he grows up, large framed and mucular) and he is extremely sweet (loves to cuddle apparently).

Of course, she was just there to show off the puppy, she was only there for a couple of minutes to show him to everyone then left.
