Why do I love my friends so much? Because they are every bit as weird as I am.

So my friend L sent me this link about a week ago: http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2...ts-easter.html One look, and we KNEW we had to try it.

So we bought up a ton of supplies, and sat down on Sunday afternoon to make our very own Peepshi...

And yes, it was unbelievably sticky! Peep goo was EVERYWHERE.

Poor peeps. But cute results!



Side note: Everyone in mine and hubby's family always buys me marshmallow peeps, because they're my favorite.... this year, nada. Guess, I gotta go buy my own.

Now's a perfect time to make them, since Peeps are dirt cheap on Easter clearance! It's even more fun if you imagine the Peeps screaming as you cut their little heads off.

My mom dipped them in chocolate.

They also make great s'mores. Take a bunny, a square of Hershey's Special Dark chocolate, and put them between two graham cracker squares. Heat in the microwave about 10-15 seconds until chocolate starts to melt but before peep explodes.

I actually didn't buy any. Usually I get a pack as soon as they show up in the stores so they have time to go stale before Easter.

I gave my chocolate-dipped Peeps to my roomie cuz she's recovering from thyroid surgery.

Believe it or not, we still had some Peep left over at my store . . . and it's a good possiblility that they could sell further by tomorrow night when I leave.

One of the grocery stores in town still had quite a bit of Easter candy today. I didn't notice Peeps, but I wasn't looking for them. I did snag a bag of peanut butter eggs.
