I found out yesterday that the father of a very good friend has disappeared. As in, gone.

Last Wednesday he was seen at a gas station, headed out of town, and no one has seen him since.

Police have been notified. There was a request for information on the radio today.

I got to talk to my friend last night... He came to town a few days ago to help his mom out. He hadn't been in town for at least 5 years, and his relationship with his father was part of the reason he hadn't been back since. Through him, I know a bit of the backstory. I will not be more specific, but let's just say it isn't looking rosy.

So, here's my request: CSers, please send him and his family your prayers and positive vibes for the best possible outcome.

His car went off the highway and flipped. He wasn't wearing a seat belt, and they are saying that alcohol (and/or something else) may have been factors.

I guess the best thing now is that the family finally knows what happened.
