  • New Classes?

So, for any school posters, what new classes are you up for this term? I start monday. My classes are

    COMPOSITION 1
    ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY 2

And one class that I know I will fail. There just no way I could possibly past no matter how hard I try, how hard I work, every trick I got, I will get an F.

    That class?

    Customer Relations and Servicing.

Joking aside, I'm sure that class will be somewhat easy. I know how we're suppose to /act/ versus what the reality is. That and six years experence in the field gave me plenty of experence. Not to mention all you people here. I likely have a thousand years experence just by reading stories here.

I'm not too concern about Anatomy and Physiology seeing as I have the same teacher from Medical terminology, and I learned alot from her. I think composition is going to be the hardest for me. I love to write, but only fiction. Not too sure how I'm going to be able to do good at it except practice, and I'm sure you all of you here know my spelling is horrid. Not to mention order. But hey, that's what school is for, right?? To learn?

What classes are you peeps taking?
    Military Spouse Support.

I'm taking a break next semester. There is just so much on my plate these last few months and the family is suffering. I'm suffering. I'm in a depression worse than when I had my breakdown a few years ago. What made me think going back to school at this point was a good idea is beyond me.

But I'm finishing up Anatomy and Intermediate Writing right now. Anatomy probably wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for that stupid writing class. I hate writing. It's just not me, and the most sucky part is that I'm apparantly good at it.

I need a B in Anatomy to be able to put my name on the Radiology waiting list. Hubby says he has faith in me. I think it's highly unlikely, and I had to tell him several times that I will not be going back next semester. I can't take this misery anymore.

A&P shouldnt be that bad. I took a (probably) similar Votech A&P when I became a surgical technologist a while back. Alot of it is superficial information, theyre good @ giving you the helpful, need to know bits. It does differ from the college level A&P in that its usually not as in depth, but I could wrong and it could be totally in depth in which case I suggest you STUDY!

I will be starting a BSN program next month (ill finish in 18 months!!) and am taking English Comp II and World Cultures for the first 8 weeks. Im excited.

I finish most of my semester (American History 1, Stats and Nutrition) in early May. I just started American History 2 on Monday, and it's going to suck--8 weeks for class that normally takes 16 weeks. It's not really hard, it's just a lot of reading in a short amount of time. The textbook is way better than the one I'm using in American History 1 though, so that helps.

Over the summer I'll be taking a CNA class (nursing aid, not for college credit) and Art Appreciation. Art Appreciation sounds really boring but it'll be my last non-nursing class, so I guess that's a good thing. Plus, it was either that or Art History and Appreciation sounded like less writing.

I found English 1 to be pretty easy. My professor gave us a very specific format to use for each paper, and as long as we followed the format we got a decent grade. Spelling? That's what spell check is for, right?

A&P 2 was fun, but hard. It was college level, not vo-tech, so I don't know if it was more indepth than what you're doing. Mostly I didn't like it because my school spent a LOT of time on cardio physiology, and I sucked at it. I didn't have a very good professor either, which made it extra hard. Good professors make everything better.

My next semester will probably be: Modern German Drama, German for Reading and Research, and Introduction to Feminist Theory. Still don't know what I'm teaching yet - I'm hoping for one section of Intro and one of the Popular Culture courses.

Right now I'm finishing up Liberal Arts math, 3D design, Digital Photography, Meteorology, and Computer Information Systems. I'll be done with those around the end of April, 1st week of May.

I'm taking Statistics for my last elective(not by choice, I failed two classes I attempted in previous semesters), and as a prerequisite for classes at the school I'm transferring to. The Stats class is a summer class from May 11th to June 22nd. I stupidly signed up for the 8am class, Monday through Thursday.

I'll be going to a military school in North Georgia for the ROTC program for my last two years and I'll probably major in Criminal Justice. I would take the whole summer to do the Stats class, but I have to go to Ft. Knox in Kentucky for 28 days in July for something called "Leaders Training Course" because I haven't done JROTC and I haven't taken Military Science classes.
-so those are my school plans that will hopefully happen without too many problems.

I'm working on all IT security courses this semester (Names changed to obscure where I work for, since I work at the college) - Designing Network Defense, Windows Desktop/Server Hardening, and Ethical Hacking After this semester, only 3 more to go for my Bachelor's!

My tutoring hours went up also - I have to admit, I really like it. I'm even getting some student appointments! Just have to brush up on my Algebra.

With that, I still work weekends occasionally for my old job, so this semester's getting really busy.
