  • My Son's Wisdom Teeth aka He Must Be On Some Good Stuff

So yesterday, my oldest son Michael had his wisdom teeth taken out,. Now they put him to sleep for this. A little while later he calls me still sounding very loopy. He told me he was feeling gooooooooddddddd. I had a bit of trouble understanding him. I told him I was gonna let him go because he needed to sleep. He says, " Noooooooo, I is goooooddd. I told him " Oh I know your "goooodddd" thats plain to see, but you need to sleep and stop talking". Did I mention how much Michael loves to talk.

Well a while later Michael calls his Dad asking where his cow is. His Dad is like WTF. He tells Michael there's no cow. Michael says there is. Well his Dad decides to play along and this is how it went

Dad- Okay Michael what does your cow look like?

Michael- He's black and white. And his names Dexter.

Dad- Okay you go to sleep now

Michael- I can't I need to find Dexter.

Dad- I'll look for your cow. you just get some sleep.

    Michael- Okay

Oh he also called his girlfriend looking for Dexter the cow. He told her that Dexter sleeps with him and has a real soft heart. Oh and he doesn't moo, he barks.

Whatever Michael was on, I want some of it. Oh and I'm so not gonna let him live this down.

It's amazing what those drugs do to you. :-D

My brother had that done, and was hilariously loopy. He pointed at a tray of rat bait in the garage right when he got home from the procedure and said "Oh look! Rat seeds! We can grow new rats!" Mom and I had a hard time keeping a straight face at that one. :-P

Lame, I just got some anti-inflammatory the two times I had a wisdom tooth taken out and a script for vicodin, which killed the pain but gave me no side effects.

I could send him the one I have. Her name is Milkshake, though, not Dexter. Also, she wears a pink plastic lei around her neck.

I was a bit dopey in the chair (the doc gave me laughing gas before putting me under), but afterwards I just slept. And was grumpy. (Now, the hydrocodone I got after my gallbladder removal, that's a whole different story).

My sister has this story about how when she was recovering from the wisdom teeth surgery she was reading a book and she saw the word "pump" and she couldn't remember what it meant. She started to think it was half a pumpkin but she couldn't figure out which half is the pump and which half is the kin.

What is your son taking? That almost makes me want to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I'm only 19 though, I have a few years to go.

My husband on the other hand...he had 2 taken out, and refuses to get the other two. Apparently he did not get what your son got.

You may ask your mother for a second opinion .
After my recent operation I was in a lot of pain so the nurse gave me an injection of something that I apparently react strongly to. I thought I made perfect sense talking to my daughter, until I saw her look wondering at the nurse and then they both almost fell out of their chairs laughing. Luckily I fell asleep a few minutes later , probably some kind of defence mechanism.
Though afterwards the nurses wouldn't give me that painkiller intravenously, only as pills.
For those who are curious, I think the drug was called Oxycodon.
