All I remember from having my wisdom teeth removed was waking up with my fingers stuffed in my mouth and a nurse trying to pull my hands away from my face.

You may ask your mother for a second opinion .
We actually discussed this a few years ago. I was completely coherent on the ride home. Still remember it to this day, and it's been a good 20 years since I had them out.

I didn't have any fun with my wisdom teeth.. my teeth & roots are quite dainty so all my dentist did was give me a good shot of local & pinged them out!

Just as well really, most anesthetics make me

Just before having ear surgery I found out just how good morphine is though.. for that couple of mins between a shot of that & the anesthetic it was the first time nothing hurt that I could remember for a long time The anesthetic guy was quite bemused about how I raved about that
        Arp happens!

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

For those who are curious, I think the drug was called Oxycodon.
Yep, that's what Michael is taking. It's not addicting is it??

I got hydrocodone when my wisdoms were taken out. They didn't kick in right away, as I remember getting angry at my Dad in the car for trying to give me exact instructions on how to eat a milkshake with a spoon (my tongue was numb, you try it, it's not easy!). But that night I was trying to have a LotR marathon in my room, but my TV screen started to float around the room, along with mysterious yet pretty white dots of light. After a day or two though, it made me throw up a lot and the ortho said it was my body's way of telling me I didn't need it anymore.

My nephew also had hydrocodone a few weeks ago after a root canal, and he was so mellowed out it was hilarious. He usually laughs obnoxiously loud when we watch TV Monday nights, but he was just sitting there in front of the Big Bang Theory going "Heh. Huuurrrrr. Teehee." Then he announced dreamily that he was going to bed. At 10PM. He's usually awake have the night

Unfortunately it made him sick the following day, too.

Yeah Michael took some oxycodon last night. He called and said he was sorry about all the stuff he done. He was basically having a pity party and said everyone was mad at him.

Nobody was mad at him. However his girlfriend's decided to hide his meds and give him tylenol instead.

                I'm afraid so:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxycodo...d_side_effects
As far as I understood, it's safe enough for a short time, YMMV. I didn't feel any withdrawal symptoms when I got home from hospital. Then again, I was very weak, the symptoms may have been there, just masked by other problems.
