Speaking of garb, can anyone recommend a good resource (print is fine) for how to figure out cutting layout for a kirtle and 'cote? I was under the impression that period fabric was narrow, but all the instructions seem to assume that I can make the front skirt out of just one piece of fabric, which confuses me.
